CONCLUSION OF THE RENTAL AGREEMENT

By registering or booking, the customer undertakes to enter into a travel agreement with Helia Travel Agency Ltd. Registration shall take place in writing on the form designated for this purpose. A telephonic, oral or other form of registration with us or one of our partner agencies shall be equally binding. Registration shall be carried out by the registering party for all co-named participants. The registering party firmly agrees to these conditions of travel, including on behalf of and for the co-named participants. The agreement shall come into being upon acceptance by Helia Travel Agency or its partner agencies upon sending the booking confirmation. Subsidiary agreements and amendments to the concluded travel agreement shall require our written confirmation.

Prices are presented in Euros (€). Prices are guaranteed independently of exchange rates variations.

LIABILITY DISCLAIMER

Helia Travel Agency d.o.o., including its agents, employees, and representatives, is not liable for any personal injury, property damage, loss, or delays caused by third-party service providers, transport operators, or unforeseen events beyond our control, including force majeure.
Participants follow itineraries at their own risk and agree not to hold Helia Travel Agency Ltd responsible for any accidents, injuries, or fatalities that may occur.

BICYCLE SAFETY AND USE

We strongly recommend wearing an approved helmet at all times when using a bicycle. Helmets are available for free with every rented bike.
All bicycles are provided in checked and good working condition. Renters agree to use them at their own risk and must promptly report any mechanical issues to a company representative.
Bicycle models and components are subject to change depending on availability. No instruction in bicycle use or maintenance is provided—renters must be familiar with the operation of multi-speed bicycles.

DELIVERY AND COLLECTION POLICY

Delivery and pickup of bicycles must be approved in advance and can only be arranged at locations with a staffed reception and a valid contact number.
It is the renter’s responsibility to ensure that their accommodation is willing to accept and securely store the bicycles until arrival. The same applies for pickup locations—management must be willing to store the bicycles securely until our courier collects them.
Renters staying at private residences must collect and return bicycles directly to the Helia Travel Agency Ltdoffice.

MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS

All bicycles are professionally serviced prior to rental. However, minor tuning or maintenance may be required during the rental period and is the renter's responsibility.
Helia Travel Agency ltd covers costs for damages caused by mechanical failures beyond the renter’s control, such as transport damage or worn parts. To claim reimbursement, renters must notify Helia Travel Agency ltd within 48 hours of receiving the equipment, provide photographs of the damage, and submit receipts for replacement parts or service.
We are responsible for structural issues (e.g., frame damage, worn suspension, bottom brackets, and hubs) but not for routine wear-and-tear or rider-related damage, including gear adjustment, flat tires, broken spokes, chains or derailleurs and torn saddles. Renters embarking on self-guided tours should have basic bicycle repair knowledge. A list of nearby bike shops is available upon request.

DAMAGE, LOSS, AND CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

Renters agree to return all equipment in the condition it was received, excluding normal wear and tear. Renters are responsible for repair or replacement of any lost, stolen, or damaged items, regardless of fault. Subleasing of any rented equipment is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of the rental agreement.

CUSTOMER LIABILITY

The renter assumes full responsibility for any damages to personal property and any injuries or accidents involving others related to the use of the rental equipment.

INSURANCE

Rental fees do not include personal accident or liability insurance. We strongly recommend that all customers obtain travel insurance covering health, accidents, personal liability, and personal belongings.

PAYMENT TERMS 

A 30% deposit per bike is required upon booking to confirm your reservation. This amount is applied toward your total balance, which must be paid in full at least 30 days prior to the rental start date. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of your reservation.

BIKE RENTAL CANCELLATION POLICY

• You may cancel your prepaid reservation free of charge up to 28 days before the rental start date, less bank refunding costs.
• Cancellations made between 15 and 27 days before the rental start date will incur a 30% fee of the total booking amount.*
• Cancellations made between 8 and 14 days before the rental start date will incur a 50% fee of the total booking amount.*
• Cancellations made between 72 hours and 7 days before the rental start date will incur a 75% fee of the total booking amount.*
• Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled pickup time are non-refundable.
• Once the rental period has begun, no refunds or partial refunds will be issued.

DAMAGE AND RETURN DEPOSIT

A damage and deposit in cash and a valid photo ID are required upon bike pickup. This deposit guarantees compliance with the rental agreement and covers any necessary repairs. If legal action is needed to enforce the terms of this agreement or to recover unpaid amounts, the customer agrees to cover all associated legal fees and court costs.

EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT VALUES

The following replacement costs apply to all rental items in the event of loss, theft, or damage beyond repair:

LATE RETURN POLICY

A late return will incur an additional daily rental fee for each day the equipment is kept beyond the agreed return date stated in the contract.
All items must be returned directly to Helia Travel Agency d.o.o. office in Bled, Slovenia or to a previously agreed-upon location.
